Hydrafacial is a 3-Step Treatment
This facial treatment is done with a three-step system that uses patented technology to address multiple skin concerns at one time. The first step of your treatment is a cleanse and exfoliation therapy, which simultaneously sloughs away dead skin cells and cleanses dirt and debris from the skin surface. Next, oil, clogged pores, dead skin cells, and other skin pollutants will be extracted with a gentle suction technique. After your skin has been cleansed, exfoliated, and extracted, we can infuse personalized serums to intensely hydrate your skin and treat active skin concerns. The serums used during the hydration step will be customized to meet your precise skin needs so that you can address your main concerns, such as uneven tone or acne.
Patented Vortex Fusion Technology
One key to this treatment is the patented Vortex Fusion technology. This technology is part of the handheld device used to deliver your treatment. The Vortex Fusion is calibrated to be gentle enough to not harm the skin, but powerful enough to exfoliate, extract and infuse the skin with skin-supporting nutrients. The Vortex Fusion technology enables many of your steps to be combined so that you can have a more thorough treatment while also stimulating collagen production and reaping other benefits.
How Should You Prepare for Treatment?
You should not need to take any extra steps to prepare for your treatment. Because this is a facial treatment, you will not need to change your medications or your skin routine. However, if you are using the topical medication Accutane you will need to wait a year before getting a HydraFacial. That said, if you regularly use strong chemical exfoliants like salicylic acid or retinoids, you may want to temporarily stop using these products for at least a few days before your appointment. By discontinuing chemical exfoliants before your facial, you will ensure that the exfoliation step of the HydraFacial treatment will not strip your skin too much. How Soon Will You See Results? Many patients will be able to see initial results fairly soon. Sometimes, you will notice that your skin appears healthier and more youthful within a few hours or days after your appointment. Your results will continue to improve as collagen production begins in the subdermal layers of skin, and as your skin adjusts to the exfoliation and its extraction steps. Furthermore, as your skin absorbs the special serums and active ingredients of the hydration step, these ingredients will promote better skin health and appearance.
How Frequently Should You Have Treatments?
The results of your facial treatment will generally last for about three to six weeks depending on your skin type, your daily skin routine, and other factors such as environmental pollutants and sun exposure.
For this reason, the frequency of your treatments will usually be about once a month to promote better skin health. Some people may only need this treatment once every two months to achieve desired results. We will make the best recommendation based on your skin condition, your skin needs, and your regular skincare routine.
Is There a Best Time for This Treatment?
You can use this treatment during any time of the year. Because the treatment is not energy-based and because it pairs well with other aesthetic treatments, you can have this treatment year-round without experiencing any negative side effects. You can also use this treatment at any age. This is a facial treatment that focuses mostly on skin health and can be a good option for anyone regardless of skin tone, type, or age.
Is This Treatment Right for You?
Most people are good candidates for Hydrafacial treatment. However, if you are currently pregnant or have used Accutane, a medication used to treat acne in the past year, you will need to wait to get a HydraFacial. If you are interested in rejuvenating the appearance of your skin by using a regular facial treatment that promotes skin health, the treatment is likely ideal for you. This treatment can be used to address mild to moderate concerns related to chronic skin conditions like acne, rosacea, and fine lines and wrinkles.
This treatment is easily paired with other aesthetic treatments, such as dermal fillers, microneedling, or neurotoxins. If you want to combine multiple treatments into your treatment plan, please let our skin experts know so that we can customize a plan to meet all of your needs.
