HydraFacials: Moisturize and Rejuvenate Your Skin

The dry, hot weather in San Antonio, TX, can damage your skin. But a HydraFacial could be the ideal skin care solution for a damaged, rough complexion. With a HydraFacial at Luxxe Wellness & Beauty, you can receive top-notch skin rejuvenation. Learn more about HydraFacials and how they can hydrate, refresh, and revitalize your complexion.

What Are HydraFacials?

A HydraFacial is a special type of facial skin care treatment that is administered with a patented device. The HydraFacial process focuses on skin rejuvenation, exfoliation, and hydration.  We follow specific steps in a particular order during a HydraFacial to give you radiant, nourished, glowing skin. This multistep facial can improve your skin health and balance your moisture levels after just one treatment.

Step 1: Cleanse and Exfoliate

During the first step of a HydraFacial, we use a special wand that cleanses your pores and exfoliates your skin. These two actions occur at the same time. While we spend time deep-cleaning your pores, the wand gets rid of dead skin cells and old skin oils that have settled into your skin.  After exfoliation, your skin is smooth, clean, and ready for the next step.

Step 2: Extraction

The HydraFacial wand has a gentle suction mechanism that removes debris from your clogged pores. This debris might include dirt, blackheads, and other unwanted substances.  HydraFacial’s method of extraction is much gentler and more comfortable than traditional skin extractions. The wand pulls out skin debris with ease as you sit back and relax.

Step 3: Hydration and Nourishment

During the final step of your HydraFacial, we infuse nourishing and hydrating serums into your skin. These serums give your skin the moisture balance it has been craving after time in the San Antonio, TX, sun.  The HydraFacial wand powerfully infuses your pores with these healthy skin serums without stripping any moisture or sensitive skin from your complexion.

Your Results: Hydrated and Smooth Skin

After HydraFacials, your skin will feel soft and smooth. These nourishing facials give thirsty skin the chance to soak up moisture and hold on to water molecules.  While the HydraFacial will give you lasting benefits with just one session, you can prolong the results with repeated treatments. To maintain your radiant, hydrated complexion, you should schedule follow-up HydraFacial appointments.  How often should you get HydraFacials? We recommend scheduling your appointments about once per month. This gives your skin plenty of time to enjoy the results between facial treatments.

Who Needs HydraFacials?

Almost any patient can benefit from getting luxurious, relaxing HydraFacials. If you struggle with dry, flaky, rough skin, this treatment could be especially helpful for you. There are very few disqualifying conditions for HydraFacials.  HydraFacials can treat mild signs of aging like fine lines and light scarring. Acne, rosacea, and other skin concerns also respond well to HydraFacials. Adding nourishment and hydration to your skin with this facial has many benefits for your overall complexion.  If you are pregnant right now, you should wait until after your baby is born to get a HydraFacial. This is an extra safety precaution that we take to ensure you and your baby stay healthy. While the serums we use during HydraFacials have undergone extensive testing, it is best to wait until you are no longer pregnant.  Accutane is a popular prescription acne medication. Because of the side effects of this medication, it is best to wait until you are no longer taking it to get a HydraFacial.  Patients on Accutane often experience dry, dehydrated skin, but unfortunately, HydraFacials are unavailable until you are off of this medication. If you want to rejuvenate your skin after you have finished your Accutane regimen, we welcome you to schedule an appointment.

Innovative Skin Technology

HydraFacials use special skin technology to produce impressive results. The HydraFacial wand has patented Vortex Fusion technology to gently but effectively remove skin debris from your pores. Anything that clogs your pores, like oils, sebum, and dirt, will be suctioned out without the need for squeezing, poking, and prodding.  We include high-end skin serums in your HydraFacial treatments. These serums contain beneficial ingredients that allow your skin to hold on to moisture. This will keep your complexion smooth and hydrated for the following weeks after your appointment. If you are out in the dry heat often, this will serve you and your skin well.

Prepare for Your HydraFacial

There are very few pretreatment instructions for HydraFacials. This versatile facial treatment works well for all skin types, tones, and textures. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before booking your HydraFacial appointment.  You should discontinue any strong skin acids that exfoliate, like retinol or glycolic acid, for a few days before your appointment. These compounds can dry out your skin and make it more sensitive to skin care products. We recommend only using gentle, hydrating products in the week leading up to your appointment.  You must be off of Accutane for one year prior to your HydraFacial. This is for the safety and comfort of your skin. Accutane can strip your skin of essential oils and hydrating compounds, and we want to make sure the HydraFacial will have beneficial results.
