The Perfect Derma Peel

The Perfect Derma Peel is a non-invasive medical-grade chemical peel that uses a combination of Kojic acid, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, TCA, phenol, vitamin C, and glutathione to improve the skin. This treatment improves the complexion after just one treatment, and a series of treatments with regular intervals between each can make a significant difference in the health and appearance of the skin long-term.

The Benefits of Chemical Exfoliation

There are two primary types of exfoliation: chemical and physical. Physical exfoliation involves manually removing the top layer of skin with an abrasive agent. Chemical exfoliation also exfoliates the skin but relies on a combination of chemicals to dissolve the top layers of skin to promote overall skin health. Many chemical peels are unsafe for certain skin types, but the Perfect Derma Peel sets itself apart from most chemical peels.

It is non-invasive and can improve the complexions of patients with all skin types. If you’ve been using different physical exfoliation techniques in an attempt to improve your skin and have seen results but still haven’t achieved your ideal complexion, the Perfect Derma Peel is the perfect treatment to help target your complexion in a new and powerful way.

What Does It Treat?

This peel can treat some of the most common skin concerns, including lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, poor-quality skin texture, uneven skin tone, acne-prone skin, and large pores. This versatile peel can make a significant difference in the appearance of the complexion. Still, we can also use it to treat other areas, including the neck, chest, hands, and different areas of the body.

How Many Treatments Are Necessary?

One treatment will help improve your skin and combat skin imperfections. While you can expect to see visible results after just one treatment, the best results come when patients follow a treatment plan that includes anywhere from two to three treatments with four weeks between each.

Patients with more advanced skin concerns like deeper lines and wrinkles, melasma, and acne or acne scars may benefit from a more extensive treatment plan to achieve the best results. Once you complete your initial treatment plan, maintenance treatments two to three times per year can help you maintain healthy skin long-term.

The Treatment Process

The Perfect Derma Peel treatment takes less than 20 minutes from start to finish. During the treatment, after cleansing your skin, we will apply the peel to your skin. Upon application, patients typically describe feeling a tingling sensation, followed by temporary numbing post-application. We make every effort to promote patient comfort during treatment so you can expect to undergo the treatment process without having to worry about any pain.

During the treatment, the combination of acids in the solution will dissolve the top layer of your skin to remove dead skin cells and promote collagen and elastin production and cellular regeneration. Once it’s over, you’ll be provided with post-treatment care instructions to ensure the best results.

Post-Treatment Care: What To Expect

We will provide instructions about what products you should use to promote healing after your treatment. Most patients can resume normal daily activities following their treatment. We typically advise patients to avoid any product or activity that could irritate the skin as it will be more sensitive during the peeling process. After your treatment, you should avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours to give your newly exfoliated skin a chance to breathe and heal after the peel.

How To Handle Peeling

After your treatment is over, your skin may appear red, and if so, it will subside within the first few days. You may experience peeling the week following your treatment, which is a normal step in the post-chemical peel process and is a sign that your body is shedding skin cells to replace them with healthy, newer cells.

You can apply moisturizing products to reduce the appearance of peeling skin, but you must let the skin naturally heal and shed and avoid speeding the process by picking at your skin. Within one week of your initial treatment, you can expect full healing. It’s also important to avoid sun exposure after your peel, as your skin will be more sensitive until it rebuilds a healthy pH level and strengthens the skin’s protective barrier.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Patients of all different age ranges make good candidates for the Perfect Derma Peel. We perform initial consultations to confirm treatment candidacy, so if you have a certain health condition that may exclude you from treatment, you should ask your primary care physician before scheduling your treatments.

Patients who want to improve the appearance of acne scars, control their acne, smooth fine lines, and wrinkles, address skin tone and texture issues, and treat the various signs of aging are good candidates for this peel. One of the benefits of the peel is that it will promote increased collagen and elastin production, which naturally strengthens the skin and makes it look healthier and younger.

Experience a Unique Skin-Transforming Peel

It can be hard to choose which chemical peel is right for your skin, but the good news is that the Perfect Derma Peel is safe for all skin types and will improve your complexion after just one treatment. We can design a unique treatment plan for you if you’re ready to schedule a treatment with this peel and begin a skin transformation.
