Two providers. You will see the same faces every visit.

Continuity matters more in aesthetics than almost anywhere in medicine. Dr. Aguirre remembers your last three treatments and exactly how you responded to them.

Dr. Heather Aguirre, DO

Dr. Aguirre is a doctor of osteopathic medicine, and she sees every patient at their first consultation.

She holds two board certifications: Family Medicine, and Obesity Medicine through the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Family medicine training means a full residency in whole-person primary care — history, examination, diagnosis, and knowing when a symptom belongs to someone else.

She is also a certified laser hair removal technician.

Osteopathic training emphasizes structure and how the parts of the body relate to one another. In aesthetic medicine that translates into treating the face as a whole rather than chasing individual lines, which is why a consultation here often ends with a recommendation you did not expect.

Jennifer Robinson

Jennifer is an award-winning licensed esthetician with more than twelve years in advanced skincare, licensed in three states. She works alongside Dr. Aguirre on the skin side of the practice — chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, microcurrent, and Korean-inspired skincare techniques.

Her career began in pharmaceuticals as a specialised dermatology representative, which is an unusual place to start and a useful one: she came to treatment already grounded in skin biology and medical-grade formulation. She opened her first boutique spa in 2014 and has been in practice since.

Between 2018 and 2023 she was recognised as Top Rated Day Spa, Top Rated Skincare Specialist, and Best Esthetician.

Oncology trained esthetics

Jennifer is a certified Oncology Trained Esthetician, and previously served as a provider in the Integrative Medicine Program at Mary Washington Regional Cancer Center in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

That training matters for a specific group of people. Chemotherapy and radiation change the skin — sensitivity, dryness, altered healing, nail and pigment changes — and most standard protocols are inappropriate during and after treatment. Many spas decline these clients outright rather than adapt.

If you are in treatment, or recovering from it, you can be treated here safely. Tell us at booking and Jennifer will adjust the approach, and coordinate with your oncology team where that is appropriate.

Why those certifications matter here

Family medicine training is the reason a consultation here starts with your health history rather than a treatment menu. Medications you take, conditions you manage, and things you have not connected to your skin all change what is appropriate — and a physician trained in primary care is looking for them.

It also means recognising what is not cosmetic. A changing mole, an unusual rash, hair loss with a systemic cause, or incontinence with something behind it are all things people bring to a med spa. Knowing when to stop and refer is a clinical skill, and it requires the training to spot it.

Obesity medicine covers the other half. Weight, metabolic health, and how the face and body age are not separate subjects — rapid weight loss changes facial volume and skin laxity, metabolic health shows in the skin, and muscle mass affects how the body responds to contouring. Most med spas treat the surface and refer the rest elsewhere. Dr. Aguirre is qualified to assess and treat both.

Who performs what

Dr. Aguirre performs the majority of treatments personally — every injectable, every laser session, Emsella, EmSculpt NEO, weight management, and most skin work. She does not delegate the medical work, and she sees every patient at their first consultation.

Jennifer performs skin treatments on occasion — facials, peels, microneedling, dermaplaning, and microcurrent — under protocols Dr. Aguirre sets, with a physician on site.

Two people, both permanent staff. That is the whole clinical team, and it is deliberate.

Why that matters more than it sounds

Most med spas are structured differently. A physician holds the medical licence the clinic operates under, while the actual injecting is done by staff or by contractors who rotate between several locations. In many cases the supervising physician is never in the building.

Here, the person who assesses you is the person who treats you, and there are only two of them. No handoff between the plan and its execution, no ambiguity about who is accountable for the result.

It also means we are small and our schedule is genuinely limited. That is the tradeoff, and we would rather be honest about it than pretend to have unlimited availability.

Questions worth asking anywhere

Whether you come to us or not, these three questions will tell you most of what you need to know about a med spa in Stone Oak:

Who will actually be injecting me, and do they work here full time?
Is a physician on site while I am being treated?
What happens if something goes wrong — who do I reach, and how fast?

How comfortably a clinic answers those matters as much as the answers themselves.
