What it actually does

We carry Dysport and Daxxify. Both are neuromodulators — they temporarily quiet the specific muscles that fold your skin when you raise your brows, frown, or squint. The lines those movements create soften, and over time the skin stops etching them in permanently.

It does not fill anything. If a line is visible when your face is completely still, that is a volume or texture issue, and filler or resurfacing is the better answer. A good provider tells you which one you are dealing with rather than treating everything with the same syringe.

Choosing between them

Dysport starts working faster — usually two to three days rather than five to seven — and spreads slightly more within the tissue, which suits broad areas like the forehead. It lasts three to four months for most people.

Daxxify is stabilised with a peptide rather than human serum albumin, and in trials it lasted considerably longer: a median of around six months, with some patients holding results beyond that. It costs more per treatment, but fewer treatments per year.

Which one suits you depends on how quickly you metabolise product, how strong the muscle is, and how often you want to come in. We will recommend one rather than let you pick from a menu, and we will explain why.

How we dose it

We start conservatively and review you at two weeks. Adding units is easy; removing them is impossible. That review is included in every first treatment, and a meaningful number of people need a small adjustment — that is the system working, not a mistake.

The two products are timed differently. Dysport begins working in two to three days and peaks around day ten to fourteen; we retreat at three to four months. Daxxify has a similar onset but holds far longer, so retreatment is usually closer to six months. Your two-week review happens either way — only the interval between treatments changes.

Units do not convert between the two. A Dysport dose is not a Daxxify dose, and neither maps to a Botox® chart you may have from elsewhere. We dose each from your own assessment, not from a conversion table.

We price per unit rather than per area. Per-area pricing sounds simpler, but it means someone with strong muscles subsidizes someone with weak ones, and it gives the clinic a reason to under-dose. You pay for what you actually receive.

Nobody should be able to point at what you had done — only notice that you look rested.

Who injects you

Dr. Heather Aguirre performs the injections herself. Not a rotating contract injector, and not a technician working under remote supervision.

A significant share of med spas staff injection appointments with contractors who move between several clinics, and it is almost never disclosed. Worth asking anywhere in Stone Oak. Injecting well is built on repetition and on knowing a particular face over time — how strong your muscles are, how you metabolize product, what happened last time.

Before you come in

Avoid alcohol, fish oil, and NSAIDs for 48 hours — all three thin the blood and make bruising more likely.

If you have an event, book three weeks out — for either product. Two is the minimum for full effect, and the extra week gives any bruising room to resolve. This is the most common scheduling regret we hear.

If the event is further out than that, Daxxify is often the better choice, since it will still be working months later.

What about Botox?

Botox is the original brand and the one everyone says, the way people say Kleenex for tissues. We do not carry it. We chose Dysport and Daxxify deliberately — Dysport for its faster onset, Daxxify for its duration.

All three are botulinum toxin type A and do the same job. If you have had Botox before and liked it, you will not find the change disorienting. Units are not interchangeable between brands, which is one more reason dosing should be worked out by the person injecting you rather than converted from an old chart.

Neuromodulator to the forehead and brow, photographed nineteen months apart across ongoing treatment. Note that the brow still moves — softening the lines without freezing the face is the whole point. The patient's eyes are obscured at her request. Individual results vary — this is one person's outcome and is not a prediction of yours.

Common questions

Dysport and Daxxify, answered plainly.

How much do Dysport and Daxxify cost in Stone Oak?

We price per unit, so you pay for what you need rather than a flat area rate. Dysport and Daxxify are dosed and priced differently from each other, and exact pricing is quoted at consultation once Dr. Aguirre has assessed your muscle strength.

How long does it last?

Dysport runs three to four months for most people. Daxxify typically lasts closer to six. Strong muscles, a fast metabolism, and heavy exercise shorten both. Treating consistently often stretches the interval over time.

Will I look frozen?

Not if it is dosed properly. That is why we start low and review at two weeks. Frozen is a dosing failure, not a property of the product.

How soon before an event should I book?

Three weeks is comfortable and two is the minimum, for both products. Full effect takes ten to fourteen days and occasional bruising needs room to resolve.

How often will I come back?

Dysport every three to four months. Daxxify usually closer to six. Both stretch over time for many people, because muscles treated consistently gradually soften.

Does it hurt?

A brief pinch. The needles are very fine and the appointment runs about twenty minutes. Topical numbing is available on request.
