RF Microneedling in Stone Oak, San Antonio
Microneedling with radiofrequency energy delivered at depth — for laxity along the jawline and neck that ordinary microneedling will not reach.
What the radiofrequency adds
Standard microneedling creates channels that trigger collagen production near the surface. Adding radiofrequency delivers controlled heat from the needle tips at a set depth, contracting existing collagen immediately and stimulating substantially more new collagen over months.
The practical difference is tightening. Microneedling improves texture and scarring. This does that and addresses mild laxity.
Where it works and where it does not
It works on early jawline softening, mild neck laxity, and skin quality across the lower face. It suits people in their late thirties through fifties who are not ready for surgery.
It does not replace a facelift. If there is significant sagging and excess skin, this will disappoint you, and we would rather refer you for a surgical consult than take payment for three sessions that cannot achieve what you want.
If there is significant sagging, this will disappoint you. We would rather send you for a surgical opinion.
Safe across skin tones
Because energy is delivered through insulated needles rather than across the skin surface, this treatment does not target pigment. That makes it substantially safer for deeper skin tones than many resurfacing lasers.
For patients who have been told they are not a candidate for laser tightening, this is often the appropriate alternative.
The recovery and the timeline
Expect three to five days of redness, swelling, and a grid-like texture. Makeup at 48 hours for most people.
Results build slowly. There is a modest immediate tightening, then real change from month two through month six. Three sessions spaced six weeks apart is the standard course.
Before & after
Where we treat
RF microneedling, answered plainly.
How is this different from regular microneedling?
The radiofrequency energy heats tissue at depth, which contracts collagen and produces tightening. Regular microneedling improves texture and scarring but does not tighten meaningfully.
Is it safe for darker skin?
Yes. Energy is delivered through insulated needles rather than targeting pigment, so the risk of hyperpigmentation is much lower than with most resurfacing lasers.
How much downtime?
Three to five days of redness and swelling, sometimes a visible grid pattern. Most people return to work at day three.
When will I see results?
A small immediate change, then progressive improvement from month two through month six after your final session.
Will it replace a facelift?
No. It addresses mild to moderate laxity. Significant sagging needs surgery, and we will tell you if that is your situation.
